Actually, according to a number of knowledgeable techies, Windows 7 may not be released until 2010 because of the current economic climate and legal and financial problems facing MS. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lino Morales" <[email protected]>

Thanks for helping. How did I miss it. Your suggestion is good. Chris
pointed the differences. I used it, but the result is not perfect Still I
have less icons with windows+d and windows+m than I see with windows+e and
backspace.

Hello, Negoslav. I don't know if this will work but give it a try.
1. Navigate to control panel and press D until you hear "display". .
2. Press enter on display.
3. Press control tab until you get to the desktop page.
4. Press the tab key until you get to "customize desktop". Press enter
on that.
5. Down arrow until you hear "my computer" and whatever other icons you
need to get back. If these boxes are unchecked, press the space bar to
check them.
6. Tab to ok and press enter or space bar.
7. Tab again to ok and hit either enter or space bar.

I hope this works for you. I'm using windows XP home eddition so I don't
know if these steps will work in windows 7. Give them a try and let us
know if they worked.
Rosemarie

Yes, but strangely, when I press windows+m I see 6 icons at the moment,
but
when I press windows+e and backspace after that, I see 12 icons including
computer and documents. They are not seen after pressing windows+d or
windows+m.

Hello,

In xp and vista pressing windows+e will open my computer, but in
windows
7 it opens so called librarys. Then I have to press backspace to go to
the well known desktop, where I can see much more icons than with
windows+d. Can you tell me how to open directly the computer with
explorer, if possible with hotkey as windows+e did before? Also how to
go
faster to the desktop that is simular to the one in the previous
versions?

Negoslav
