Can you read any of this with the Jaws Cursor? Press insert plus numpad minus key to route Jaws to PC. After this you will be able to move the mouse cursor over the web page and Jaws will try to read the line under the cursor. Use control plus cursor keys to read one word at time. If you find you are reading the text you need try pressing the left mouse button without moving the mouse or Press the / button on the numpad to make Jaws give a virtual mouse click. This may give you the necessary focus to go back to PC mode. The problem with the Jaws cursor is that you will not be able to scroll the page so you do need to try and get focus for the PC cursor if you can. If the Jaws cursor cannot read any of this page there may be a serious accessibility problem. In your position I would try it out with Firefox if you are using IE and IE if you are using FireFox to see if that will make a difference. You need to tell both the newspaper and your cores leader of the problems that you are experiencing.

Most students in the class will read the print version - not an option for me. Fortunately there is an Eedition of the newspaper available to me. I have subscribed to the paper, but have found that once I get to the on-line version that I can hear the link (ie: pg A1, comics, etc), and I'm able to click on the link, but when I click on the link the right side of the screen displays the page, but I can't seem to toggle over to the page to read it. I have tried listing the frames, the tab key - all to no avail. I need some help. A few things I'd like to point out: 1) I'm using an H-P laptop with JAWS 10 2) I'm fully aware of the on-line version of the paper azcentral.com which is free and easy to navigate, but it is an abbreviated version which is unacceptable for my use. It's simple to use, unfortunately not useful. 3) I must admit that I am a real novice using JAWS and may be simply unaware of a solution because of lack of experience.
