Find the JFW.INI file for the version of JAWS you are using, this is most
easily done as follows:
1) Open the "START" menu
2) Arrow to and select the "PROGRAMS" menu item.
3) Arrow to the JAWS menu item being sure to find the version you are using
(if you have multiple versions installed) and open it.
4) Open the "Explore JAWS" menu item.
5) Open the "Explore Program Files" menu item.
6) You'll now find yourself in a "Windows Explorer" window, find the
"JFW.INI file and open it (with Notepad preferably).
7) Now find the "[SYNTHESIZERS]" section of this file, search for the entry
that currently lists the port:
For example: "Synth1Port=Com1:9600,n,8,1,x"
Now, be sure to find the SYNTH#PORT entry for your specific device and
simply change the "COM4" to "COM2", shut down JAWS and restart it.
