You can reset the explorer:
ie7:
go to control panel, internet settings, then the last tab, you found, and go
with tab, to set defaults, press ok.
Then go tab, press set default settings, then press aply, and ok.
by ie6:
it is on the programs tab, in the internet settings, and on the last tab, by
the other settings.
