Ken, Open a DOS window and type the following followed by the ENTER key:
RECOVER /? Be sure to include a space character before the slash character and a question mark immediately after the slash character. If the RECOVER command is available on your OS, that line should give you instructions on how to use it. If the RECOVER command is not available, type HELP and press the ENTER key. That should give you a list of all available commands. These were large folders so they were not sent to the recycle bin. These folders had hundreds, if not thousands of small files. I have not written anything to this external hard drive since I did this. Is there a program out there that I could use to recover these files from this external hard drive?
