Hi Maryann,
When your boy friend signs in to his section of the computer he will
need to make google his home page if he wants the search box to
automatically appear in the web browser. To do this in internet explorer,
first open the web browser, next hold down the alt key and press T. then
release both and press the letter O. then press enter. You will be on a line
that asks you to enter the address of the web site you wish to use for your
home page. For google type:
http://www.google.com
then tab to OK and press enter.
This should cause the web browser to open google every time it opens.

hello i wanted to ask a question. my lap top has vista and i have it set up
when you turn it on, i have to select my name, but my boy friend has his
name up there also and he doesn't have all of the icons on his side like i
do and he wants to know how to do that. also how to make search box pop up
on Google when he goes to get on to the internet. i think he has to have it
as a home page and not sure if that is correct or not and he doesn't know
how to do that also could someone please give me step by step directions
