Hi, In a folder or Explorer Window, first hit alt plus v folllowed by l to set the current folder to a list view, then go to the menu, tools, folder options, on the view tab, in the tree view of options make sure "remember each folder's view settings is unchecked. Then hit alt l to set all folders to current view followed by y to confirm and then tab to ok and press enter. If you don't do this then settings are retained for each folder separately.
