Does anyone know if Cdex works with Windows Vista? Just curious.

If the sound affect is a link on the web page you may be able to save it as
a target using the application key. If it is not a visible link this will
not be possible. I do not know enough about web page coding to say for
definite if a embedded sound file can be extracted using something like
FrontPage to edit the page.

One definite way of capturing the sound effect though is to use something
like Total Recorder, with a little setting up you might also be able to use
Cdex or Goldwave to do this also by using your stereo mix as the input
recording device. Whether you can use a free utility like Cdex analogue
record feature might depend on your sound card flexibility in allowing the
sound card to be used as a recording input in its own right. On my desktop
I can get Cdex to act like Total Recorder and record everything coming
through the speakers including Jaws. On my Netbook I cannot achieve this
because of sound card restrictions.

If you do not know your way around audio properties then buying Total
Recorder may be your best option.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Hopefully not to strange question?

I went to a website, a short time ago, and found that they have a
sound effect that I'd like to add to my library. If possible, how might I do
this?

Many Thanks,
