Hi Mike,
     Your instructions worked great! I had a password protected computer. I 
only ran in to one trouble. The next day my computer restored itself to a 
previous restore point and removed the password protection. I haven't had a 
chance to restart the password system. It is interesting to know about this 
restore issue though and I am grateful to know how to create a password 
protected system.

yes jaws will read the password screen for you and if you go to your control 
panel and go to user accounts and go to protect my computer with a password 
and follow the steps from their it is real easy any other questions please 
feel free to ask mike
