hmmm, yes I see what you mean, kind of like a US to British date
translation?
one puts the day, month, year. and the other, month, day, year.
didn't think of that.
well it's doing the zipping of files so guess I cant moan to much. *smiles*
Thanks

I've had no experience with that program. However, it sounds as though
you're having a problem similar to the one I'm experiencing wi a worksheet
in excel.
When I type, or hotkey the date in, it reads in the normal manor. When I
read it back, however, I get some internal code that translates as the
given date under different, internal readout.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Strange message with winzip
Hi
I wonder if anyone knows what this message means?
Every time I use winzip to archive files, I get a message to say that
the date format is out of range, then it gives me this weird random
number like 15/13/1857.
next time I archive files I'll have to copy the exact message.
But for now I wondered if anyone had come across this and if they had a
solution.
winzip appears to still archive the files so I'm not sure what it is
going on about.
cant find anywhere within winzip or the files themselves to change a
date.
so I'm at a loss to sort this out.
Thanks for any help.
Elaine
