The restore function will set it back to when it was working. Believe me I
went at it with my computer for about 4 hours. I had my virus hidden in the
restore points of the computer. I had to do a few extra things before it
even let me run the restore. Now my computer is working very well.

no it is definately not a virus. checked everything from top to bottom, no
malware, no trojan or worm. my computer is clean as a whistle.
everything else works fine, just whenever i want to reply to an email jaws
does nothing except spell what i just typed no other reading comments will
get it to speak anything.
system restore with a virus really would not work, because as soon as you
let a virus run its course after restore it would pop up again. but
thanks for trying to help. appreciate it.

It sounds like you got a virus. The thing I would recommend is to use
your System Restore found in your Accessories then click System tools
then hit System Restore. Just set it a couple of days back. The virus
is slowly making your computer malfunction.
