Personally I do not always use Google. You tend to get lots of sites trying to sell /persuade you to download. Wikipedia is generally my first port of call. If accessibility information is not there I will often then use Goole to search under the software title with the word accessibility in the search pattern. The final method is to list a question here or on the Jaws User list.
Mostly though with software I stick to downloading Programs only from Jaws User and Blind computing. The moderators on these sites have done all the good hard testing work for us so I am pretty confident that all these will work well.
