Hi John, Yes,the My Documents folder is the default for Notepad, but the first time you save a file, just look to make sure where itt is going. Like the rest of the Windows defaults, wherever you save it, is where it will be saved thereafter, until you change it. HTH, Richard Q. I have note pad on my desktop. I'm use to word,& if I make up a file then it's in my documents.
