Hello all
I'm pleased to inform you of a program that I've heard about on another
list. It's called Returnil. The idea is that you can do what you want to do
with your computer without risking your computer of severe damage. How it
does this I don't understand, but basically your system is cloaned in memory
since that what I'm doing right now is in fact running in a virtual
environment. Any changes I make now will be lost upon a system reboot. This
is in no way similar to an actual virtual machine. Anyway, in terms of
access, it Seems to work reasonably
well with JAWS, and some JAWS cursoring is necessary. In the main screen you
are able to tab around and activate the options, which are: "home",
"preferences", "file manager" (not available in Personal Edition), "help",
and "exit". If you wish to change something, simply find the word
"change..." with your JAWS cursor and do a left click. For example, to
change the system protection status, find the "change..." on the system
protection line, click it, then find any of the quarter circle icons and
click it to select the radio button. Then find the line "ok button" and
click it. Hope this gets you started, and enjoy the program! P.S. Sorry for
the long e-mail. P.S.S. you can download their free Personal Edition from
www.returnil.com. Also, I strongly recommend you browse the site with
Firefox since they seem to heavily use Flash, which sows JAWS down quite a
bit. Anyway, enjoy!
