An ActiveX control is a series of controls that can change a web page's
functionality. There are some, however, that are only designed for malicious
purposes, so unless you absolutely trust the site do not install anything
that they ask you to.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] question about active ex control

Hi, everyone. This morning when I went on the Schwans site using system
access to go, I got this message that says something like "install this
active ex control to use the site" or something like that. Is there an
extra plugin or something you have to use with their site? If it's flash
player, I already have it but what is active ex control? Sorry for the dumb
question but this is how we learn.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Rosemarie
