Would seem that the target of that playlist might be corrupted, since according to this page:
http://filext.com/file-extension/PLS

the pls file is just a generic playlist file that's effectively a text file with URLs for online content.

You could try editing it with something like notepad and see where it's actually pointing, and then try that URL directly in IE/Thunderbird and see if you get a more useful error, like 404 not found or something.

I have downloaded a pls file for a radiostation, but when I open the file, winamp opens and opens the open file dialog always when I press the x to play the file. So is there a plug in, or any other way to play the file in winamp? Or is there a program that plays those files? I tried also using the windows meida player, but it didn't work out...
