Hi David, I forgot to mention that I was using Windows Millennium so your instructions weren't able to help me. I did, however, find this out: to Get rid of the log on screen
For Windows 95/98/Me (If you don't have multiple users configured): Open Control Panel, and double-click on the Network icon. >From the list entitled Primary Network Logon:, choose Windows Logon, and press OK. What may be missing is, restart the PC once the Primary Logon has been changed to "Windows Logon", as above. On rebooting the Logon window will appear again. Just enter your Name and NO PASSWORD, leave it blank, then OK it. Next time you start the PC the logon box should not appear. I will keep your instructions in case I need them in the future.
