Apart from other methods for exporting different mail programs content, if you are under windows xp (and might also be there in vista, but not sure), go to start menu, programs, accessories, system tools and choose files and settings transfer wizard.

This works for some basics, and unfortunately doesn't always run too happily on my over configured machines (again for want of a better term), but it's specifically designed for transferring data/configurations over from one machine to another.
