When I acquired my first computer in 1987 I bought a special talking card called the Speaqualizer which I used for about two years and then used another system which combined the DoubleTalk and a program called ASAP sold by a company called MicroTalk.
One of my former students wishes to pursue a course in assembling computers and installing some software which will include Windows. Does anybody on this list know about a hardware product similar to the Speaqualizer which will come up talking when inserted in a computer? What I am looking for is a piece of equipment which will come up talking so that the person can deal with bios settings and when he is installing software he can listen to the chatter from the talking hardware. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Francis Khan For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
