Although I tried things like jaws key + number row 3 to pass Ctrl + G to the VMWare player without jaws catching it, that didn't really work too well, since it seemed to stop jaws etc. from getting real control of the keyboard back after exiting VMWare, but one thing I have found is that instead of hitting Ctrl + Alt + delete to shutdown vinux, which seemed to also bring up windows task manager, but without really passing keyboard command back to windows, if you use left Alt + F1 to bring up the gnome menu, but then right arrow on a menu item - not a submenu item, there are two other menu structures, one for places, and one called system, which has items for things like networking, hardware etc., and also one for shutdown, and this then brings up a dialogue telling you it'll shut down in around 60 seconds, so you can then hit Ctrl + Alt to get keyboard control back to windows, but you then still have to hit Ctrl and Alt a few times to unlock them as far as windows and jaws are concerned, but it's better.
