In OE, go To Options on the Tools menu, and Control-Tab to the Send page.
Uncheck the box labeled "automatically put people I reply to in my address
book".

While in OEyou can hit the alt t, then go into options control tab til
you
get to maintainance tab til you get to emptyafter closing that box must
be
checked.
you might have to make sure you go to apply then ok.
