Hi Mike,

It sounds like your Webvisum registration was never activated. Did you ever receive confirmation that your registration was successful? Are you sure you used a valid invitation code to complete your registration? You may need to obtain a new invitation code and re-register. Once you have successfully registered and logged into Webvisum for the first time, it is not necessary to log in again thereafter every time you launch Firefox; Webvisum will be ready to go as soon as Firefox loads. You will know that Webvisum is working if you hear a series of firecracker-like pops whenever you load a web page. The pops indicate that the page has completely loaded, the equivalent of 100% on the progress bar. Once you get Webvisum working, there is an easy way to test its captia solving ability. From the Google home page, access the Gmail link and click on the "Create a new account" link. Then hit E repeatedly until you land on the edit field where you are supposed to type in the characters displayed onscreen. At this point just press Alt-Control-6, and experience Webvisum in action. You don't need to actually register for gmail, so leave the other fields blank, you are just testing Webvisum. HTH.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Webvisum Log in question

Hi All,

Whenever I use Firefox the Webvisum Log in dialogue box appears. It has my name, I type in my password, the box is checked to remember my details, and when I press space bar / enter on okay nothing happens, the dialogue box is still there. I have to press escape for it to go away. If I press the Alt,
control, + 6 keystroke just to see if there is a captia and to see how
Webvisum works nothing happens or I should say that Jaws says nothing. Have
I screwed up something and need to re-register for Webvisum? Also, can
someone suggest a website that has a captia so I can learn how this Webvisum thing works? One last thing, when I go into tools and then into Webvisum my
Log out option says it is unavailable. To me , it sounds like I never
logged into Webvisum. Would you all straighten me out on this Webvisum
stuff? All help will be desperately accepted. Thanks much, take care.
Mike
