Well then, as long as you tried reinstalling the version you already had, you could always try a newer one if there is one up on the FS website.
Alternatively, it might want to be actually uninstalled/installed cleanly, but it really depends on why it's now gone slower - could be something else on the computer, and not actually jaws itself. Not all that easy/useful along with a screenreader, but in the windows task manager, on the processes page, you can also see CPU/memory usage load figures, and if you can click on a column header it'll sort the listings based on levels, and this might help you find out what's working hardest etc. Might not be of any use, but anyway...
