Hi Marvin, I'm going to give you a couple of solutions, and either "should" work.
1) You can still use some of the old Word 2003 shortcut keys. First select all the text you want in the list. Second, type Alt + O, wait a second, type N, and the Bullets and Numbering dialog will open. Hit Ctrl + Tab to get to the Numbered Tab/Page. Then hit the Tab key once to get the focus on the list of options (the first should be "None"). Then hit right arrow once to get to the first 1 2 3 format, in which each arrow is followed by a period. To select it as is, hit Enter. Or, if you would like to format it some more, hit Alt + T (the Define New Number Format dialog will open allowing to choose the number style, the format (whether to have a period or parenthesis follow each number), and alignment.) 2) Another way is to follow the new Word 2007 key commands. Alt, H, N. You will then hear "list box". Hit right arrow once to get to the first 1 2 3 format, in which each arrow is followed by a period. Hit right arrow again for the 1 2 3 format where each arrow is followed by a right parenthesis. Hope this helps!
