hello Ken; give these steps a try;

I'm using version 5.552 of winamp, which I believe is the newest one. Start winamp Press control P Mine comes up saying something like classic skins, arrow left twice. Arrow up several times until you find file types. arrow right once. Tab until you come to explorer settings launch for audio CD check box. check it.
