[Blind-Computing] Skype with vista

As I mentioned earlier, I've just bought a new vista pc. For some reason I 
don't seem to be able to sign in to Skype. I've told windows firewall to allow 
Skype, however, when I click the sign in button nothing happens. Has anybody 
got any suggestions as to what I should do?
