Yeh but not everybody is able to update service packs, nor do they want to. So this is why MS releases them in future service packs.

I thought them Service Packs automatically update on their own?  Isn't that
how it works?

SP3 comes with all the security updates that were released after SP2. Also
some minor bug fixes, as well as improved reliability and responsiveness.

I noticed something. My Netbook comes with XP Home Service 3. What is the
difference if it came with service pack 2 or 1?  I am thinking about
keeping
XP in my Netbook.
