I had the same problem with IE 8 and JAWS 9 on my XP computer. After
updating to JAWS 10 the problem went away.

I just wanted to ask, when I load up internet explorer, when I arrow down,
jaws doesn't let me read a link, instead it says open parent document
button. Do I need to install jaws 10 or not. Is version 9 not working
with IE 8.
