How well does Jaws work when using the windows 7 upgrade from Vista? Do you have speech to help out doing the upgrade if can't see at all to read the screen or will you need sighted help and or assistance?
I just got a new computer that came with vista business on it which is eligible for the upgrade is why was wondering about the upgrade installation to windows 7 since know am eligible for it and since know am how two you go about getting the windows 7 upgrade? However, after what I've read that Netbooks with Windows XP can't be upgraded to Windows 7, this is completely false. All machines that are running either Windows XP or Vista can be upgraded to 7. The difference here is that no XP edition supports in-place upgrades, meaning that a clean install is required. You can still use your upgrade DVD to perform the clean install though since XP would be recognized by the DVD, thus you can go ahead with the clean install. With Vista, however, the upgrade path depends on what Vista edition you're currently using. Here's the upgrade paths you can follow: Vista Home Premium ->7 Home Premium Vista Business ->7 Professional Vista Ultimate ->7 Ultimate Other editions of Vista, like Home Basic, are not supported, and thus no upgrade path exists. There's also no upgrade path if you wish to "upgrade" from a 32-bit edition of Windows Vista to a 64-bit edition of Windows 7. In both cases a clean install is required, however the upgrade DVD will work for this since Vista will be recognized by the DVD. What I will say though is that it's completely your choice if you decide to cancel your licence, but I thought I'd better get this out there for fear of misinformation.
