Thanks, that is good to know. I guess "forced" was the wrong word. I will
probably switch to Live when required, unless it is too cumbersome. I do
have it installed in Vista and have several accounts configured. I just
have not spent too much time using it yet.

Hi, Windows Live Mail works fine as it is currently with the latest JAWS
10. You are not forced to use this program, but most people will be since
Microsoft are offering it free. There's others though, like Thunderbird,
Outlook, Eudora, etc. Hope this helps.

It is my understanding that Windows Mail will not be a part of Windows 7.
Will Windows Mail be available for download? Will we be forced to switch
to Windows Live? I have installed this software and was not impressed.
Would The Bat be a viable replacement? Perhaps if there is enough
interest, someone would be interested in investing time and effort in
scripting this application. What are the outstanding features of this
client?

I tried The Bat. Very powerful but like you say it could do with scripts
or could be made more accessible in some areas.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] The Bat Email Client
Hello all,
I've recently been introduced to The Bat email client. It has a lot
of wonderful features, but, it quite difficult to maneuver around with
JAWS.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with it, and/or if there
are any JAWS scripts for it.
I'm just studying how to write JAWS scripts, but, am not nearly ready
to tackle The Bat.
Blessings to all,
