Hi,
I think that with something like Startup Control Panel, loading programs
into one of the following may help although I've not looked up the order in
which these four areas load.
The choices are:
Startup (user), Startup (common), HKLM / Run, and HKCU / Run.

As far as services go, I'd love to make Jaws for instance load earlier in
the startup process but found no way to do this and I tried exporting a
registry key but it was huge.
Maybe someone else knows of a way because it would sure be nice.

Jon

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Order of Start Up Programs

Hi Folks,

Wondering if there's a way to set up the sequential order of how programs
load at start up.

My brother seems to think so, however, I don't think it is possible.

If I'm not mistaken, programs boot up when they boot up, there is no
controlling the order with which they boot up.

Am I correct in this assumption?

This is, of course, on an XP home computer running Jaws 10, latest build.

Thanks all.

Victor
