Chrissy, that default password is usually your WEP key. You should always
change this to something else. You should also change the default username and
password of the administration screne of your router. Some routers will not let
you change the default username (which is usually "admin" or "cusadmin"( but at
least you can always change the password. You probably also want to disable
wireless administration and remote administration.

There usually is a serial code on routers to prevent anyone else to log into
your wlan connection and router. You may have to get sighted help for this,
I needed with mine until I wrote it on a text file on my pc. Usually you
will find this number on the device itself and/or on the wrapper of the
installation cd that usually comes with it.

I have a question, "Is there a password or something on the router"? I also
have a netgear router. Everything is connected but it asks me for a
password. Do you know what the problem might be?
