Agreed, these things are pretty cheap on EBay. Fixing a laptop charger
is not like fixing a 1950 Lionel train transformer. It is entirely solid
state which is difficult, if not impossible, to diagnose nonvisually.
Also opening up and/or working on certain modern electronics by
unqualified person(s) is often a violation of the very, very fine print
of your home owners insurance.
