Yes, it does the same thing in the run dialogue, but just realised one new/other thing.

It only seems to do this if I first go to the end of the line with the end key and then use the shift + home key combo to select all of it, which is confirmed using jaws key + shift + numpad down arrow, and that 'thinks' everything is selected even though it then doesn't get copied to clipboard, since if I use the home key to make sure on beginning of line and then use shift + end before copying it seems to work properly, so suppose might have something to do with text encoding, or the version of line break being rendered or something.

Stay well

Hi Jacob,
See if you get the same results when pasting into the run dialogue.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Strange thing where last character of
selectedline doesn't get copied to clipboard

Not really sure when this started happening, but on specifically my one
machine where I mostly notice it happening, and generally, but not
necessarily only there, when I want to copy a URL from an email message when it hasn't been rendered as a link so I can go paste it into the address bar
of a web browser, I'll go to that line, hit the home key just to make sure
am on the first character of the line - generally the h of http, then hit
the key combo of shift + end to select the whole line, and hit Ctrl + C to
copy it to clipboard, but then when I go to IE, for example, and paste it
into the address bar, it'll paste the whole line, but missing the last
character from that line, so, for example, if the end of the URL was the
extension of an .html file, it'll try paste something ending in .htm.

I've tried this out using a few screenreaders etc., and it's generally
happening in outlook express 6, on a windows XP machine, and it doesn't
really seem to matter what the length of the line of text is, and it's
definitely not limited to web addresses either, but that's when I notice it
the most, and it really only happens as such when I try to copy one line's
contents to the clipboard since if I use shift + down arrow to select a
whole line including the carriage return and line break then it doesn't seem
to be noticeably missing anything out.

I've tried various screen resolutions, and made sure windows are maximised,
but like said doesn't seem to be affected by length of the line etc., and
although won't confirm that happens 100% of the time, it happens most of the
time, and also doesn't seem to be affected by either HTML or plain text
emails as such.

Any thoughts?
