Hello all, My friend purchased a 500GB Seagate external hard drive, which transfers data via USB and connects via the mains outlet. The first day he had it, when it came to shutting down his Windows XP desktop PC, everything shut down, including his drive. After formatting it yesterday, he's tellign me that when he shuts it down, everything *but* the drive powers off. This only happens if it's connected to the USB port. Does anyone know what's going on here? Thanks in advance.
