hello there; give these steps a try.
For privacy reasons, you may not wish to send these return receipts. As Outlook's default option is to prompt you each time, it is possible that you might accidentally send a receipt for a particular message without reading the dialog box. Thus, you may wish to force Outlook to ignore receipt requests without ever prompting you. 1. Select "Tools" - "Options". alt plus T=tools, O=options. 2. The "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears. make sure your on the "Preferences" tab. 3. Tab and enter on the E-mail Options button. 4. When the E-mail Options dialog box appears, tab and enter on the "Tracking Options" button. 5. When the "Tracking Options" dialog box appears, you will see a set of radio buttons underneath "Use this option to decide how to respond to requests for read receipts. Only applies to Internet Mail accounts." check the "Ask me before sending a response" radio button. or you could use your arrow key, and select never send. I hope this helps. Configuring Outlook 2007 to never send responses to read receipt requests 6. Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Steve Stewart" <stev...@suddenlink.net> To: <blind-computing@jaws-users.com> Sent: Friday, September 25, 2009 8:23 PM Subject: [Blind-Computing] turning off recipts in outlook 2007 I am looking for step by step using outlook 2007. i have a person who is on the cooking in the dark email list, and we need to know how to turn off the recipts. we cannot have them on the list. thanks STEVE STEWART C n D MODERATOR AT THE MARKET OWNER EMAIL;stev...@suddenlink.net For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
