No player will replace another. It's just something that you can install at
your own discression. If you choose to make it your so called replacement
then that's your choice.

I have look at this player but it said it played DVD's but could not start
the DVD after telling my computer this is what I wanted I did not see
anything that would let me go to a chapter or start from the beginning.  and
also will this player replace real player??
