If you're talking about setting the desktop background back to bliss, which
seems to be one of the standards, on windows XP, start settings control
panel, and find display therein by typing the letter D, then after bringing
up the dialogue, ctrl + tab to background tab and in the list of backgrounds
you should be able to find the one called bliss, then tab to ok button and
  hit space bar.

You can also get to the display properties by going to desktop with windows
key + M, make sure nothing is selected with the use of the ctrl + space key
combo if necessary, right click, move up to properties, and hit enter.
