Have you run the wireless connection wizard on the second computer?

Subject: [Blind-Computing] networking 2 computers with a wireless router

Hello everyone,

I can't seem to figure out how to network 2 computers together using a
wireless router.

Before, when I networked them through a "hard-wired" router, it was simple.
I just plugged both into the router, went through the "My Network Places"
setup wizard, and was able to let the second computer see my shared
documents and print to the printer I had connected to my main computer. I
tried to do the same thing with the wireless setup wizard, but I couldn't
find the steps to set anything up like I did in the regular network setup
wizard. The second computer doesn't see the printer or the main computer.

The main computer is hooked directly into the router, the other computer
that is hooked up wirelessly can't see my shared folder or the printer. I
can't see the wirelessly connected computer either. I also have a 1 terabyte
external drive hooked up to my main computer. I'd like to let the second
computer see that also. I can see it just fine in My Network Places on my
desktop so I figure I got that setup correctly.

Both computers are running XP.

Please help as the second computer is used by my wife in another room and
she has threatened to make me sleep in the dog house if I can't figure it
out; and it's getting cold here in Colorado at night!

Thanks,

Ken
