Hi Rick, thanks for the suggestion. I tried it with version 9 and
version 11 of JFW with the same results. I thought the local group
policy may have been set to use an update server other then
update.microsoft.com but that was not the case. I also tried it with
SATOGO with no luck.

Hi Frank,
Have you tried accessing the pages with an earlier version of Jaws?

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Windows Update and Microsoft Update issues

Hi folks, I have one PC on the network here that is causing a weird
problem which I haven't encountered yet. This happens when using either
Windows Update or Microsoft Update. This started after installing IE 8.
When either of those two update pages are loaded I only get frames, the
toolbar frame and the footer frame. The content frame where you can
download the updates is never displayed. I have active-x enabled.
Googling for thid problem hasn't produced anything useful yet. The
computer in question is an older P4 3.0ghz with XP Pro SP3 and JFW 11.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
