Hi Cliff. It is quite easy to put a string a sounds together especially if 
they are already created as separate files as one can insert an existing 
file in to any part of a new recording.
As for your second question, you can easily cut and paste a portion of a 
file in to a new recording or you could even take a large file and simply 
use standard windows keystrokes to delete undesired parts of it leaving just 
what you want.
