Actually, this doesn't solve my problem. I have my messages sorted in
ascending order so that the earliest message appears at the beginning of the
list and the latest message appears at the end of the list. This way, I can
simply up arrow through the list to move from last to first. I just want to
change OE so that when I tab to a message list, I will be focused on the
latest (last)message rather than the earliest (first) message. There must
be some other setting somewhere I am not aware of.

Gerald, go to your views menu, and go to sort by. and check descending, or
ascending, whichever you want. just hit enter on the one that isn't
checked, and your problem will be solved. Jim

This is more of an annoyance with Outlook Express than a problem, but
whenever I tab to the message list from one of my user-defined folders in
the folders list, I am always placed on the earliest message in the list
(beginning of the list). How can I change this so that I will be focused
on the latest message in the list (end of the list) whenever I tab to it?
