No matter what I try to do the disc activity thing starts up again. Is
there any way I can repair or reinstal this stupid thing?

Friends, let me explain to you what's happening to me.
I'm using the latest version of jaws which is 11 including the newest update
that was posted. I'm also using windows xp home.
the probme is when I try to open outlook express a gargantuan amount of disc
activity starts and I hear outlook express not responding when I try to move
my up and or down arrow keys.
the same problem occurs with windows live mail.
then when I try to alt f 4 out of there. I am getting end program whatever.
This program is not responding. then if I cose it or end now, I get one of
those don't send buttons or send error report. What can I do to fix this?
