Patricia, If this persists and continues to bother you, why not consider going to MSE? I absolutely love that program and there are zero hassles

I have tried to uncheck everything I felt I could within AVG 9 that could pertain to this in hopes it would stop, but it just continued.. So I enabled the "pop up" in internet explorer and even though this thing still pops up on me, now with that enabled, I can press the escape key only and I'm back where I was before it appeared.
