Yes VLC works with Windows 7 according to a sighted friend and university
student.

I have been trying to figure this out myself. I even did a search for the
drivers on the hp website for my model laptop. They don't have the new
drivers for windows 7 yet. sigh. Anyone else know any ideas on how to get it
to work?
