I am having problems with self extracting scripts not going to the right
place in Jaws 11 with Win 7 64 bit.
Specifically the Goldwave scripts did not go to the right place. Neither did
the Kitchen Sink games. And some other ones did not work, either.
Is there a way to put self extracting scripts where they belong and why
would it be different for Jaws 11?
I did solve the problem with the Kitchen Sink games by copying the installed
folder from my XP machine to the Win 7 one and I use shortcuts of the .exe
file for each game to start them.

Hello Ken and all. On your first question try this. check the list check
box in view. Then go into tools menu and then folder option. control tab
to the view tab. Hit enter on the apply to folders button. Then hit enter
on ok. This should do it. I haven't set this up in a while but think this
is what I remember doing. In the help it said that is how you set it up
for icon sizes so should be the same for this. Hope this helps. On your
second question as in reguard to scripts You can install them fairly easy.
Some have auto set up programs where it will install them in the correct
directory for you. They go into the enu folder in settings in your current
version of jaws. The FS site should have information on how to set this
up. If you like you can email me off list at [email protected] for
further help. It is a long process to type.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] folder list view and accessible firewall
Hi everyone,
I'll probably have more questions over the next few days. Setting up a
new computer.
I can't remember how to set it up so that all folders on the computer are
in a list view.
Also, I'm using Zone Alarm on my old computer; but it's not very blind
friendly. Are there any firewall programs that are blind friendly.
I know zone alarm has scripts, but I have no clue about scripts. Are
there scripts for zone alarm and how do you use them? I don't know the
first thing about using or installing scripts. I've never used them and I
know I am probably missing a lot by not having done it, but again, I just
haven't learned them and would need some help to figure them out.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Ken
