[Blind-Computing] how do I stop eudora from downloading more mail while I check mail? and how do I tell it nto to put messages in to the junk folder?

Friends, I;m sorry for the long subject line.
I want to tell eudora to not download more mail while I check my 
mail. the only way to do it is for me to unplug my modem so it won't connect.
Stupid way I know.
now, how do I tell eudora also to put all messages in my inbox?
I'm the one that will determine what is junk.
Allot of the messages this thing thinks is junk is actually recipes 
and allot of Spanish emails from a few lists I am on. thanks again 
for your help.
