When you plug in a new USB device, Windows will install the appropriate device driver(s). If Windows can not find the appropriate driver, you might need to go to the manufacturer's website, go to their support page, and look to see if there is a updated driver for that model for the version of Windows you are using. If you can find the correct driver software, you will need to download and install the driver software.

Subject: [Blind-Computing] Problem with DecTalk USB

I previously had my DecTalk USB on a computer that crashed and now I'm
wanting to put it onto another laptop computer. The problem is that when I
plug it into a USB port the computer keeps looking for software. I don't
remember getting software with this unit; I thought I just could plug it in.

Can someone help me with this? I want the external synth so I can listen to
other things through my computer speakers.
