Hi, everyone, My nephew Dave was just here a little while ago. We didn't have to uninstall windows messenger after all. He just changed a couple of settings in the options menu. I asked him what they were and he said something about associated programs or something like that. He said sometimes a virus or malware can cause messenger to pop up but I don't have either a virus or any kind of malware.
Thank you all so much for being helpful. It's just frustrating when you've done everything you know to do and nothing works. So-far messenger hasn't popped up. It looks like the problem really is solved. I'll keep an eye on it though. Thanks again for all your help. Merry Christmas.
