Hi,
I'll try to explain, why are others or me changed this programs:
1. Microsoft's mails clients and browsers are full of mistakes and no work.
2. OE, I had a lot of problems, when I was used Dial Up, when I downloadet
100 mails from 200 and it stopped, I downloadet everything again and I
wasn't able recognize, which mail are the same.
3. OE and Microsoft Outlook will not allow me see mails head on the server
and if I don't want it, I'll not download. It's more safer, then download
to the PC, of virus.
4. Firefox when is downloading a file it'll not make a duplicate file, for
example the size of the file is 500 MB, it means, that if you want download
you must have 1 GB free of space. Firefox will download and when it's
complete, it'll only rename to the correct name of the file from (name of
the file.part).
5. Firefox is now using Webvisum and it's great step ahead.
6. IE will download only two files on the sametime, Firefox 6.
\This few examples mades me angry to the Microsoft browsers and mails
clients.

I'm completely confused as to why, if folks are experiencing so much
difficulty, they are prone to use browsers and e-mail clients other than
Internet Explorer and Windows Mail or Outlook. I understand the "glamour"
of being able to identify one's self as a non-conformist and hence using
tools other than those provided by Microsoft, but considering the
difficulties I've seen on various lists I wouldn't touch any of these tools
with someone else's screen reader. Obviously, JAWS has been developed and
delivered complete with strong support files to interact with Internet
Explorer and any of the Microsoft e-mail clients. I presume the same can
be
said for WindowEyes. So, why not not use what works best given the
framework of needing to use a screen reader?
I guess, that since I was a software developer for so many years, I find no
personal satisfaction in being able to say I am not a conformist. I just
want to use what works the best given my limitations.
If the reason for using the non-Microsoft tools is enhanced security, then
why not take the entire plunge and move to Linux?
